From 2 March 2022 fully vaccinated travelers entering New Zealand do not need to self-isolate however you will require a negative COVID-19 test to enter the country. Border requirements are subject to change, so make sure to check out the most up-to-date information here.
New Zealand Immigration have a great tool to help you plan a hassle-free move. It is also a good idea to check out their pre-departure checklist to make sure you’re set before you reach the airport lounge. Our friendly Resourcing Team are also on hand to help you with any questions you may have to make your move as seamless as possible.
Once you touch down someone from Qual IT will either pick you up from the airport or we will organise for a taxi for you. You may have friends and family you would like to stay with when you first arrive which is a great way to get settled in! If not, we will organise 2 weeks of accommodation at a self-serviced apartment which is close to the Qual IT office.
When you arrive in your room, there will be a welcome pack with some essentials that you will need for your first few days in NZ. If you have ordered a phone or sim during your pre-onboarding we will also leave this for you in your room so you can get in touch with friends and family back home.
You may want to settle into your apartment and get over your jetlag before you start work with us. We suggest that you take at least a couple of days to do this and enjoy the new city you will be calling home! You may also have some other things that you need to organise such as:
